A 39-year-old suspect accused of murdering Johannesburg teenager Likhona Fose is set to appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Following a questioning session with the Gauteng police, the suspect was formally charged with murder on Tuesday.
According to provincial police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, “One person was taken in for questioning on Monday, June 9, 2025, and subsequently linked to the murder.”
Fose’s body was discovered mutilated in an open field in Roodepoort earlier this month, sparking widespread concern.
Her lifeless body was discovered by a passerby, who notified the police upon discovery.
