Joslin Smith is still missing and the public have been urged not to share false information as this is hampering the search and causing immense trauma for her family.
The 6-year old from Diazville in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape went missing on Monday, 19 February after being left in the care of her mother’s boyfriend.
A number of false reports that Joslin has been found has hampered the search for her, but police have confirmed on Monday, 26 February that the search for the little girl has entered the 7th day.
Preliminary reports reveal that Joslin was left at home with her mother’s boyfriend on the 19th February because she was not feeling well.
When her mother, Kelly Smith returned from work, the boyfriend was not there and nor was little Joslin.
Kelly called her boyfriend who could not account for Joslin’s whereabouts.
Joslin was last seen by her mother at 08h00 on the morning she went missing. When asked if she suspects her boyfriend for her daughter’s disappearance, Kelly told eNCA that she would rather not answer that question.
“From a mother’s instincts, I know my child is still alive. I can feel her, and I know that she’s still alive.”
