The mother of three of Donald Trump’s children and his first wife, Ivana Trump, passed away at the age of 73.
“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City,” Trump wrote in a statement on his social media platform Truth Social.
“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life,” he said.
“Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”

Officers responded to a complaint at her Upper East Side apartment at about 12:40, a New York Police Department official said AFP in an email.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a 73-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive. EMS (emergency medical services) responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene,” the spokesperson said.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Donald and Ivana Trump were well-known public celebrities in New York, and their divorce generated a great deal of interest from the general public.
Ms. Trump launched her own business of jewellery, apparel, and cosmetics after they divorced.
She was married four times in her life, once before her marriage to Donald Trump and twice after.
