The entertainment industry and the nation are mourning the loss of veteran South African actress Meme Ditshego, who passed away on June 25 at the age of 60 after a short illness.
Her death sent shockwaves across the country, coming just weeks after she was seen attending the funeral of industry peer Presley Chweneyagae.
Ditshego, a SAFTA-winning radio and television actress, had reportedly seen her condition worsen a week before her passing.
The news of her death was announced by her talent agency, Eye Media Artists, prompting an outpouring of heartfelt tributes from the acting fraternity, political leaders, and the public.
Details for those wishing to pay their last respects have now been released. A memorial service was scheduled for Thursday, 3 July 2025, at 1PM at the SABC Auckland Park Auditorium in Gauteng.
The funeral service will take place on Saturday, 5 July 2025, at 8AM at the Alakasia Community Hall in Pretoria.
