The case against Former ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule and his co-accused has been postponed to May.
The ex-ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule’s multimillion-rand asbestos case has been continued until May.
On Friday morning, Magashule and his co-accused appeared briefly before the Free State High Court for a pre-trial hearing.
Magashule is one of 18 individuals and businesses who have been charged with fraud, corruption, and money laundering.
The accusations concern the allegedly erroneous awarding of the more than R255 million contract for asbestos roof removal.
The new date will enable the Supreme Court of Appeal to successfully appeal a high court decision that denied Magashule and some of his co-request accused’s for a stay of prosecution.
