Broadcaster and author Eusebius McKaiser has passed away at the age of 45-years.
The news was confirmed by his manager Jackie Strydom on Tuesday, 30 May, and comes as a shock to the broadcast industry.
McKaiser, a former 702 presenter, reportedly died at his home after a suspected epileptic seizure.
The coveted journalist presented Talk at Nine before securing the daytime slot on the station.
Born in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape on 20 March 1978, the well-known radio host obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Philosophy, as well as a Masters in Philosophy at Rhodes University.
Apart from enjoying a successful career in radio, McKaiser served as a writer for numerous local and international publications including the Mail & Guardian.
Eusebius McKaiser also presented Interface on SABC 3 and was an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, voicing strong opinions over racism, discrimination and homophobia.
A number of political parties including the Economic Freedom Fighters, ActionSA, as well as spokesperson for President Cyril Ramaphosa, Vincent Magwenya have expressed tribute messages over the passing of McKaiser.
