Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Emmy-winning actor Andre Braugher has passed away.
After a brief illness, Andre Braugher, the star of Homicide: Life on the Street and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, passed away at the age of 61.
Throughout his career, Braugher played both dramatic and comedic roles as a police officer.
From a career-long total of 11 nominations, he received two Emmy Awards for his work in Thief and Homicide.

The actor who portrayed Terry Jeffords in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Terry Crews, honored Braugher and conveyed his appreciation for the chance to have known him.
“Can’t believe you’re gone so soon. I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent. This hurts. You left us too soon. You taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you.”
