Former ActionSA leader in Gauteng Bongani Baloyi has formed his political party – XILUVA.
At a press conference in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Thursday afternoon, Baloyi made the revelation.
This comes after he resigned from ActionSA nearly three weeks ago.
On March 13, Baloyi announced his resignation from ActionSA, claiming that their partnership had broken down due to mistrust and disagreements over Mashaba’s management of the provincial structures.
He noted that he left the DA in 2021 because it was time for a shift and claimed he had to leave the party because he wouldn’t be a pushover.

Bongani Baloyi and Tlhogi Moseki, both former Action SA members, will register a new political party, Xiluba with IEC on Monday.
Baloyi gave the context to the party’s origins and why its formation was of national importance.
“Xiluva was born out of a sense of political homelessness, hopelessness and desperation. Xiluva is founded on values of family, unbuntu, community and multiracialism.
“This is a fundamental departure from the status quo of the body politics of our country.”
“Xiluva will contest in the 2024 national and provincial government elections. Our work is cut out for us, we don’t have time on our side.” said Baloyi.
