Employees of the African National Congress (ANC) have declared that they will picket in front of Luthuli House on Monday (3rd October) in Johannesburg to demand that the organization pay their unpaid salaries.
Last month, they demonstrated in front of Luthuli House, but their salaries have still not been paid.
The workers have also promised to carry out a nationwide strike.
Angry ANC employees are hopeful that this demonstration would have more success than the last one.
The employees says they are sick of working for free because they haven’t received their salaries in three months.

Workers say they may choose to disrupt the ANC’s national elective conference in December if the picket continues.
During his remarks to journalists at Hitekani Primary School in Soweto’s ward 11 over the weekend, ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa said party treasurer-general Paul Mashatile “basically spends his time scrounging for money from those who would donate to the ANC”.

Because ANC employees are frequently underpaid, he claimed to have a deep awareness of their situation.
“We continue to work to raise the money that should go towards paying them, and that becomes successful at times, but is sometimes delayed. Our commitment is that those who work for the ANC must be paid,” said Ramaphosa.
