An arrest warrant has been issued in Botswana for former President Ian Khama.
Former president Ian Khama has a warrant out for his arrest in Botswana; he is rumoured to be in South Africa.
According to the state, Khama is accused of possessing guns without a license on or about March 3, 2016.
After serving two terms of five years, Mr. Khama resigned in 2018.

BBC News reports that along with former state intelligence chief Isaac Kgosi, suspended police commissioner Keabetswe Makgophe, and Victor Paledi, a former deputy permanent secretary in the ministry of youth, gender, sport, and culture, he was initially charged in absentia in April of this year.
He is the son of Botswana’s first president, Seretse Khama,
Khama reportedly told the Mmegi news website that he would welcome an extradition request since it would allow him to testify in a foreign court against the “lies” that have been spread about him.
