South African and Amazulu striker Bonginkosi Ntuli has sadly passed away.
The KZN-based side confirmed his untimely passing in an official statement.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you of the untimely passing of our beloved centre-forward and loyal servant, Bonginkosi Ntuli.”
According to a statement from Amazulu, Ntuli was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, which metastasized and ultimately led to his death at the Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital in Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.
The club has requested that privacy and patience be granted to his family and friends at this difficult time. Further announcements will be made in due course.
The news of Ntuli’s passing comes just a few months after he and Amazulu CEO Sinenjabulo Zungu had their white wedding.
