ActionSA has confirmed that Gauteng Premier Candidate, Funzi Ngobeni and Youth Forum Chairperson, Hluphi Gafane have been located and are unharmed after being hijacked.
On Tuesday, 07 May Ngobeni and Gafane were hijacked in Olivenhoutbosch at approximately 19h00.
The pair were allegedly held by the hijackers, and were eventually located in the Benoni area.
Both Ngobeni and Gafane were retrieved at 22h45 on Tuesday, and found unharmed.
“It is confirmed that these ActionSA leaders were hijacked in Olivenhoutbosch at approximately 19h00 this evening and held by the hijackers, eventually being located in the Benoni area.
ActionSA is pleased to report that both Ngobeni and Gafane are unharmed but undoubtedly shaken from the experience.
ActionSA expresses profdoun gratitude to members of SAPS who were incredibly responsive and deeply humbled by the overwhelming outpouring of support and concern from South Africans.”

Ngobeni took to his social media to thank South Africans for their concern and prayers.
The ActionSA Gauteng Premier Candidate said he will be spending Wednesday morning with his family following his harrowing experience, before returning to work later in the afternoon.

Fortunately, both Hluphi and I are safe after a harrowing experience.
I’ll be spending time with my family this morning before returning to work later today.
