Action SA disbanded the Kwa Zulu-Natal PEC.
Following a senate meeting on Tuesday night, ActionSA declared the immediate dissolution of the party’s KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Executive Committee (PEC).
After the meeting, Michael Beaumont, national chair of ActionSA, released a statement saying that the party had learned during the previous several weeks that a number of people had been allowed to enter the PEC in KZN.
“ActionSA’s constitution requires decisive action to be taken under such circumstances to ensure that the vast majority of members, who are committed to ActionSA’s work to fix South Africa, are not subjected to the conduct of those who operate with ulterior motives,”
“It is apparent that the actions of these individuals are motivated by political forces outside of ActionSA and would manifest in a series of public resignations citing false pretences for the purpose of damaging the image of the party,”
“This evening (Tuesday’s) Senate resolved that the party’s National Director of Operations, John Moodey, will oversee all political activities in KZN pending the arrival of a new provincial chairperson in October 2022,” said Beaumont.

After we discovered a recorded conversation between a former ActionSA member of the PEC and someone in the ANC (soliciting ActionSA’s support to protect the ANC in KZN for money), their membership has been terminatedhttps://t.co/pqL0td0Ua8
In other news, yesterday the party’s eThekwini regional chairperson Busisiwe Ntshingila, and uThukela regional chairperson Mdumiseni Mlangeni resigned with immediate effect from ActionSA.
Both party leaders stated in their letters of resignation that they had been considering leaving the political party for the past six months.
