87 learners who were hospitalised after eating space cakes have been discharged.
According to Matome Chiloane, the Gauteng Education MEC, some 87 students from Pulamadibogo Primary School in Soshanguve who were hospitalized after eating muffins laced with marijuana have finally been released.
The injured students were hospitalized to Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital on Wednesday and were later released after a considerable improvement in their health and condition.
Only three female students are still in the hospital, and they are still getting the care they need to get well.

Two suspects who were arrested in connection with this case will appear at the Soshanguve Magistrates Court on Friday morning.
“We are relieved that the affected learners were discharged following this saddening incident. We wish the remaining learners speedy recovery,” MEC Chiloane said.
“We are informed two suspects arrested for allegedly selling space cookies to Pulamadibogo learners are appearing at Soshanguve Magistrates Court this morning,” DBE spokesperson, Steve Mabona,said.
