50-year-old supermodel Naomi Campbell has decided to quit her smoking habit going in 2021.

She has fought many battles with addictive substances. In 1999, Campbell entered rehab after a five-year cocaine and alcohol addiction. Over the years, she has been struggling to quit smoking, and admitted that she thought it would be easier than stopping drinking.
Discovered at the age of 15, Campbell became one of the most popular and in-demand models of the late 1980s and 1990s, an era when smoking was en vogue. Back then, people were allowed to smoke in public spaces, and planes in some parts of the world.

She was also one of six models of her generation, declared a supermodel by the fashion industry and the international press. The Global Citizen Ambassador was named Fashion Icon by the British Fashion Council last year.
On her birthday last year, she hinted that she plans to “simplify” her life after the coronavirus pandemic ends. Though the pandemic still rages on, she’s already staying true to her word; taking steps to get to her goal.
A New Year’s resolution in the making
Campbell reportedly stopped smoking on New Year’s Eve and has been using every afternoon to go for a swim in the ocean for an hour or two which is followed by sitting in the sea, which she says helps clear her lungs as it takes it takes 21 days to get the nicotine out of your system.
The world-famous model has reportedly tried hypnotism and nicotine patches in the past to try and kick the habit. The news of her kicking the habit has inspired many to follow suit.
