Congratulations are in order for Nadia Nakai who has started her own record label, Bragga Records.
The award-winning rapper announced the news on her Instagram page.
“I’m so excited about the next chapter of my life! Here’s to officially starting my own record label BRAGGA RECORDS,” she wrote.
The ‘Practice’ hitmaker thanked Cassper Nyovest for all he has done for her.
For many years, Nakai was signed to Nyovest’s record label, Family Tree.

She announced her departure from the record label earlier this year, saying it wasn’t easy to tell Nyovest about her exit from the record label.
“It was very tricky because when I had the conversation with Cassper, I was so scared to talk to him. I could feel he was sad, and I think he hung up on me, to be honest, but later messaged me,” she told SlikourOnLife during an interview.
She also added how Cassper offered her great advice on how to go about starting her own label.
“He gave me some record label name ideas and I was like nooo, we went back and forth. He advised me that I should sign my record label and not me individually, which was good advice cause I initially was going to go direct like that,” she added.
Nadia has now thanked Nyovest for the mentorship.
“I wouldn’t be able to do this without @casspernyovest and @familytreeworld THANK YOU for all that you invested in me over the years! “A Mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you than you see in yourself and helps bring it out of you,” she wrote.
Many of her fans and celebrities such as Lasizwe, Andile Ncube and Ricky Tyler have congratulated her for the boss moves.
