North West has announced she will soon release her debut album, Elementary School Dropout.
The 10-year old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, now known as Ye, made the announcement over the weekend at her rapper dad’s listening party for his upcoming album Vultures 2.
Taking to the stage, North made the announcement to loud screams from the crowd present, and shared that she’s been working on her first album for a while now.
North has made no secret of her desire to follow in her rapper father’s footsteps, and has performed with Ye on Vultures 1.
Elementary School Dropout is a reference to Ye’s debut album, The College Dropout which was released in 2004 and was dubbed one of his best albums.
While Kanye fans got the reference of North’s album title, a few social media users were left concerned about her title, with many hoping the eldest child of the former couple did not really drop out of school.

Since announcing her debut album, North’s following on TikTok has skyrocketed, taking her joint account with her mom to 18.8 million followers.
North’s TikTok account, which is being managed by an adult increased by 700 000 followers between February to March 2024.
According to research by social media marketing experts at Viralyft.com, North’s huge TikTok following could mean she earns up to $30 000 per post on the platform.
While Ye has expressed how proud he is of North, Kim hasn’t responded to her daughter’s desire to follow in her father’s footsteps, but she was present at the listening party to support Kanye.
