Grammy-award-winning South African singer/songwriter Nomcebo Zikode is back with a brand new single titled Inkanyezi, featuring Exclusive Drums. The new single comes just in time for the festive season.
“It’s been a long time coming, and I’m excited to finally give you what you’ve been patiently waiting for.”
Nomcebo shot to fame after collaborating with Master KG on the mega-hit Jerusalema back in 2019.
Earlier this year, South African musician Wouter Kellerman won a Grammy at the 65th Grammy Awards for his song, Bayethe featuring Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode.
In his acceptance speech, Kellerman thanked everyone who contributed to Bayethe.
“On the road to sharing South African music and culture with the world, thank you to Nomcebo and Zakes for your incredible creativity. Thanks to my manager and friend who has stood with me and thanks to all the musicians who contributed to the album and to my peers who supported us, I’ll never forget it.”
Upon her return from the Grammys, Nomcebo spoke to Kaya 959 News Reporter Katleho Sekhotho about how young talent can make in the cutthroat music industry.
“It’s important that artists become business minded, and ensure they know their rights. It’s equally imperative for recording companies to behave in an ethical manner.”
