In a move that continues to blur the lines between music release and performance art, Kanye West has unveiled an early version of his highly anticipated album, Bully, as a 45-minute music video, rather than a traditional album release.
The unconventional drop, titled BULLY V1 arrived over the weekend on YouTube and Apple Music, offering fans a glimpse into the rapper’s evolving creative process.
The visual component of BULLY V1 is the same short film previously leaked by West during a recent social media outburst.
The black and white cinematic piece, directed by West and edited by Hype Williams, features West’s nine-year-old son, Saint, engaging in a surreal wrestling match, wielding a mallet against a series of opponents.

West had previously announced a 15 June release date for the full Bully album, coinciding with his daughter North’s birthday.
However, the unexpected release of this unfinished version, coupled with West’s recent social media pronouncements about potentially boycotting streaming services, has cast doubt on the original timeline.
In other related news, a week ago West shared a vulgar post pertaining to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, which prompted a conversation on Siz The World. The team asked Kaya 959 listeners to share how they would handle someone speaking negatively about their children as a parent.
