Dating should be a fun-filled adventure that gets your heart racing and sets your pulse on fire. If it doesn’t do that, then what are you dating for?
Dates should be spontaneous and every date should heighten your attraction to the other person and as Unathi mentioned on Midday Joy yesterday, it should not be boring.
Listeners shared their ideas for the most innovative dating experiences and we have a list of musts to share with you too:
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, when life was socially unrestricted we enjoyed a few innovative dates that we highly recommend you try.
For the fitness junkies who are always looking for new ways to challenge their bodies and workout together as couples, give rock climbing a go.
There are indoor rock climbing facilities for those who are not too keen on the outdoors especially during Winter. You will have instructors on hand guiding you up each crag and each ascent will push your body further. The surge of energy when you get to the top, cannot be compared.
Shark cage diving
If you’re a little more daring and icy water doesn’t deter you, take the plunge and try a shark cage dive. In a controlled environment it’s safe-ish. There are risks involved with everything but if you have a clean bill of health and can control your breathing for a relatively safe timeframe, you should be fine.
This isn’t for the faint-hearted however, and you will need to both be up for it for this to be a successful date experience.
Hot air balloon adventure
This is a far more romantic and special date idea and usually saved for the bigger gestures and special occasions. Most couples pop the question on hot air balloons and we understand why. It’s one of the best date experiences we’ve had.
Watching the sunrise over the Magaliesberg region, taking in the breathtaking views, and being that high up in the air just elevates the entire experience. Give the hot air balloon adventure a go the next time you’re looking for a more romantic date idea.
