A children’s birthday party at a petting zoo in America ended in dramatic fashion after an alligator attacked its handler in full view of the guests.
The incident happened when animal trainer, Lindsay Bull, attempted to feed the reptile, whose name is ‘Darth Gator’.
Children and their parents watched on as the gator bit down on the 31-year-old’s hand and pulled her into its tank.
At one point, the reptile initiated the ‘death roll’ – a spinning maneuver used by alligators and crocodiles to subdue their prey.
Donnie Wiseman, a father at the party, sprung into action. He rushed to the woman’s aid and jumped onto the alligator’s back. He wrestled the animal until it released the woman’s hand.
The woman remained calm despite the terrifying situation.
The heroic bystander’s wife, Theresa Wiseman, captured the entire incident on video.

Trainer recovering after incident
Lindsay Bull suffered injuries to her hand but it doing fine. Her employer, Scales and Tails, shared a message from her on Facebook.
“I got lucky to land in a hospital that employs what has to be the best orthopedic surgeon in Utah. He was able to improvise and come up with a solution that should result in full use of my hand. I can’t explain the level of admiration I have for that man. I’m being treated aggressively with antibiotics, which I’m thankful the Infectious Disease staff here were prepared to do.”
She also thanked everyone who reached out to her after the incident.
“I’ve had the most wonderful nursing staff that have made me feel safe and comfortable since I got here. I definitely want to thank everyone that has reached out and for doing so, as well; it’s made recovery feel so much more manageable! Thank you!”
