She was speaking at the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Arts and Culture’s event, Women in Art Masterclass.
Leleti was addressing issues women face in the entertainment industry.
She said they are not treated the same as men, however, women should not be comparing themselves to men.
“Kuzofanele sikhumbule thina bantu besifazane ukuthi, asilingani namadoda [ We need to remember as women that we are not equal to men] ,” says the star.
“Masilwa, silwela thina, asilweli ukulingana namadoda [When we fight, we fight for us women, not to be equal],” she added.

The star says even from creation, men and women were not created the same.
“From masiqala sakhiwa, uNkulunkulu akasakhang ngokufana – kune khanda, kune ntamo [ When we were created, we were not created the same. There is the head, there is the neck],” she said.
When it comes to the issue of 50/50, Khumalo says: “I don’t believe in that”.
“Kukhona umuntu wesifazane, ukhona umuntu wesilisa. Kukhona umama, kukhona ubaba. Kwam’ kwaziwa kahle ukuthi ubaba ubaba, bese ke kuza umama. Indaba yokhuthi ufuna ukulingana nomuntu wesilisa ayizo kwenzeka lento. [ There is a man, there is a woman. At my house, it is known that a man is a man, then comes the woman. This thing of wanting to be equal to a man is not going to happen, not in this life time]. I don’t think so,” she said.
