South Africans have rallied behind Makhadzi after a photograph of her dark inner thighs was shared by a photographer who intended to humiliate her. The Limpopo-born singer is making huge strides in her career, venturing into skincare and a blanket range and there’s no denying she’s a popular artist.
Since the distasteful snap was shared, Makhadzi apologised to her fans who may have been disappointed that she doesn’t meet the societal standards for beauty. However, many of her fans have made it clear that she is not the one who needs to apologise and the photographer should instead.
His attempts for body shaming the artist was not successful with many women sharing that they too have dark inner thighs.
I would like to ask everyone who reacted to his picture and edited it, you are planting something that can affect me badly. I humbly ask everyone to stop humiliating me. I don’t have energy to block you all. I love you all.”

I don’t understand why would women bully each other mos most women have darker inner thighs , including me. I don’t see any problem with Makhadzi’s picture and darker inner thighs doesn’t mean we don’t use “the combo and water”🙄🤷♀️ nxa

When you accept & love yourself for who you are AND still WIN through authenticity, your light will irritate people who hate black power. #Makhadzi pic.twitter.com/RfotqdCLtP
