Tennis star Andy Murray’s mom, Judy Murray, recently condemned the leak of her son’s private medical information.
It is still uncertain whether Murray will be able to participate in the championships after undergoing back surgery.
A report from the Telegraph identified Andy Murray’s injury as a spinal cyst and suggested that the player would be out for several weeks.
In response to the report, Andy Murray’s mom tweeted on X:
“When your private medical details are leaked to the media by someone you thought you could trust. So disappointing,” she posted. “And – FYI – not ruled out yet.”
In a statement shared this week, a representative from Murray’s camp said that further information will be communicated soon.
“Following his surgery on Saturday, Andy is continuing to work with his medical team to confirm when he will return to the court. At this stage, no decisions have been made and we will update further as soon as anything has been finalised.”
The Siz The World team discussed the double standards based on how mothers are viewed as emotional when intervening in their children’s business, whereas fathers are deemed professional.
