Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla is scheduled to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 30 January in connection with her alleged role in the July 2021 unrest.
According to reports, the daughter of former South African President Jacob Zuma who is a member of parliament and the head of the Southern Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament, will be charged under the Terrorism Act.
She gained national and international attention for her social media posts during the July 2021 unrest that shook the country and led to the deaths of 354 people.
The Human Rights Commission launched an investigation following extensive damage to businesses in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, however, Zuma-Sambudla was not arrested in a mass operation by the Hawks in 2022.
The uMkhonto WeSizwe Party (MK) made the announcement of her appearance on Tuesday via its official X social media page.

Its understood former President Jacob Zuma's daughter will be in the Durban Magistrate's court on Thursday.

The Siz the World team deliberated on the charge Duduzile will be facing and asked whether she has a case to answer, or if the state is reaching.
