WATCH: Alleged taxi operators vandalises Bajaj driver’s car.
A Bajaj Qute vehicle was recently been attacked by alleged taxi patrollers.
The vehicle was savagely trashed by the three attackers, who broke doors, slashed tires, and broke windows.
The introduction of yellow vehicles came with mixed reactions, with many in the taxi industry dissatisfied with the presence of vehicles on the road.
Point of View with Phemelo Motene spoke to the spokesperson for the South African E-hailing Association, Vhuatuka Mbelengwa in studio to discuss the continued attacks on e-hailing vehicles.

Three purported minibus cab patrollers are shown crushing the bright yellow “vehicle” with a rock in a short video that has gone viral on social networking platforms TikTok, X (previously Twitter), and Facebook.
The video has received mixed reactions from South Africans on social media.

According to IOL, Bolt said in a mid-August news release that its fleet partner, My Next Car, and the Gauteng Department of Economic Development had formed a strategic relationship to introduce the new Bolt Lite ride category, which would be provided entirely by the Bajaj Qute, an automobile manufactured in India.
In August, 29 Bajaj Qute vehicles were seized by the Gauteng traffic police in Johannesburg on the basis that their operating licenses were invalid.
