In a recent podcast posted by NUMSA on YouTube NUMSA sector coordinator in the Chemical, Bus Passenger, and Motor sector, comrade Mduduzi Nkosi explained the challenges NUMSA is having with Bus sector employers.
The biggest challenge when we go for negotiations with bus companies, these employers come up with demands. Before we even talk about issues of the workers, we will have to overcome obstacles that have been put on the process by the employers themselves. it is their strategy, I don’t think it is helpful at all. Our core demands in the bus sector, obviously, the increases are one of the core demands, we have demanded 15%, our compromise where 10%, that were we are stuck.
