Is it the smell of victory that has Springbok fullback Damian Willemse refusing to take off his winning Rugby World Cup kit.
Almost a week later, the Bok player was seen on the team’s Rugby World Cup Tour still using his dirty kit which he wore in the Springboks’ final game against New Zealand in France.
From head to toe, Damian Willemse had on his unwashed kit, yes, the ecstatic Champion admitted that even his socks have not been washed yet.
It’s understandable that Willemse may want to relive the moment he first lifted the Web Ellis Cup after defeating the All Blacks, but could he not have thought of a more hygienic way to do so?
Framing his unwashed winning kit perhaps?
Unphased by the negativity around him meeting the President in his musky rugby gear, Willemse is living life and loving every minute of life in the spotlight.
Willemse has been making headlines lately, especially after his cheeky tattoo got South Africans a little hot and bothered.
Thomas and Skhumba wanted to know whether listeners have gone more than a day in the same clothes, and most cringed at Willemse’s antics.
Dried sweat, grass stains and cross country germs on the kit aside, some wanted to know if Willemse showers at least before putting on his smelly gear.
