Jealousy, is a complex emotion that is often harvested by feelings of insecurity, fear, greed, and humiliation.
Although seen as a necessary emotion that preserves social bonds, jealousy is a painful and toxic emotion to possess.
Not only is jealousy selfish, but it often attempts to lower one’s self-confidence, and can even behave violently.
On Feel Good with Andy Maqondwana, Andy asks listeners about the craziest thing that jealousy has made them do.
In a voice note, one listener shares the juicy details of how jealousy captured her.
“There are two things that I’ve done out of jealousy. One, I once diverted all his calls to my s]cell phone. Two, I took the spare keys to his car, and went on to steal his car! What a proud moment. Will I do it again? Hell Yeah!”
Another listener called in to share how she was on the receiving end of jealousy. She further on opened up about how her neighbours went to her in-laws and bad-mouthed her, in attempts to stop her Lobola negotiations and wedding.
She further explained that despite their efforts to damage her relationship with her in-laws and ultimately stop her wedding, their efforts did not succeed.
Kaya 959’s very own Traffic correspondent Juliet Joseph talks about how she wore the other women’s clothes out of spite and jealousy.
“I wore the other women’s clothes. I wore her jersey, bangles, and her handbag!”
She continued: “And they both found me chilling. the girl was so shocked, but the guy didn’t say anything”.
