Every household member may experience a range of stressors and emotions when dealing with in-laws. Privacy is something that married couples, especially recentlyweds, crave. It’s the only way to develop intimacy, deepen your relationship, and start a family.
Andy asked: “Can we talk about the switch-a-roo, that happens when you go to your home of origin? This is the switch-a-roo that happens when you go to where your parents are, or even your in-laws. This is who you are in the comfort of your own home because there’s a complete switch in personality, things you do, and things you don’t do. but when it comes to inlaws, you become a completely different person. How you are by yourself is different when you are with your in-laws.”
