Over the past years, the demand for cosmetic surgery has exponentially increased. Who would’ve thought Men and Plastic Surgery would be a topic of conversation?
Social media apps like Tik Tok and Instagram have seen the rise of procedures like botox, fillers, and the infamous BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift).
Cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for men no less has also now become a new norm.
Men and Plastic Surgery in the Instagram age

Men are now too challenging the stigma and preconceived notions about plastic surgery, fillers, and injectables. If not a tummy tuck it’s hair transplants.
Men have not been immune to the unrealistic beauty expectations imposed by society.
On Feel Good with Andy Maqondwana, Andy asks Feel Good listeners about the cosmetic procedures they would get if they were financially equipped for it.
Andy expands on the conversation by asking men whether or not they would get any cosmetic surgery done and if so what would they have gotten done.
One female listener sent a voice note to explain how she wouldn’t hesitate tp get her breasts done.
“The number one thing I would get done are my breasts, I want cleavage as well as reducing my feet from a size 9 to size 4”, she tells Andy.
Another listener, Tebza, explains how he would want to get his teeth fixed.
“I definitely want to fix my teeth, specifically my gap!”, he shared.
Another listener shares how she would get a breast reduction and a tummy tuck.
“I would fix my belly, and get a breast reduction. Everything else I’m okay with”.
