In the lead-up to Father’s Day, Drive 959 asked dads to reflect on the one gift that genuinely made their hearts happy.
Was it something extravagant or something simple? A once-in-a-lifetime “dream gift,” or a modest gesture filled with thought and love?
During Thursday’s Drive Moment, it became clear just how many fathers don’t receive gifts at all on this day and for various reasons.
Skhumba candidly shared that, more often than not, he’s been underwhelmed by the gifts he’s received over the years.
“It’s not that there isn’t money at home. Last year they wrote me a letter, and my son showed no emotion. I wouldn’t say there’s a single gift from my kids that stands out,” said Skhumba.
