Who has sex more? Those who get enough sleep or insomniacs?
Most people will probably go with those who get enough sleep, but what if we told you it’s actually the other way around?
Studies suggest that chronic insomniacs sometimes have increased sexual desire and arousal
This could be because insomniacs have proven that they can function for long hours with little or no sleep, so they are always up for the deed.
On the other hand, those who sleep for long hours are said to be lazy and almost never look forward to the deed because it eats away at their nap or sleep time.
Malefa, who’s an insomniac, agrees with this notion.
“I’m easily aroused so I think it’s true. It could do with the fact that when I’m not asleep I need something to keep me busy.”
Mobolawa, who hasn’t always been an insomniac shares her experience.
“I haven’t always been an insomniac, it started 19 years ago after I gave birth. For the past 16 years out of the 19 years, I had a human being as a sleeping pill and it worked for me.
“For the past three years, I have been using sleeping pills because my human sleeping pill is not there anymore, so it is true. And he knew I couldn’t sleep without it because after two hours I’d be up.
