A listener, who wishes to remain anonymous, faces a tough decision. She is torn between marrying her partner, who is involved with another woman for financial gain, or rejecting his marriage proposal. This man has all the qualities she desires in a partner, except for the fact that he has a sugar mama. Seeking guidance from The Best T in the City with Tbose, she turns to fellow listeners for advice on how to handle this delicate situation.
“I recently met this great guy, and he is everything I have always wanted. He loves his kids and is very romantic; however, when we met, he told me that he was seeing an older woman and that he would never leave her because she takes care of him. He did, however, let me know that he is not in love with her and that his job is just to have sex with her, and then he gets his money.
“The sugar mama in question is married, so they barely spend time together. I am not comfortable with this setup, but I can’t deny that she gives him a good amount of money, which has also come in handy for me. He spends more time with me, and whenever he is going to see the sugar mama, he is honest with me. I won’t lie, I do get jealous; however, this man is everything I ever wanted in a man. He even wants to marry me, and the sugar mama has no problem with it. Should I just ignore the fact that there is another woman in the picture and marry the love of my life, or am I just being gullible?”
Anonymous
One listener counsels Anonymous to stay in the relationship if she is happy, regardless of the fact that there is a sugar mama. “It can happen that you find someone who fits the profile of the perfect partner but could be troubling you for the rest of your life. Sometimes, just follow your heart.”
Another listener asks if the boyfriend has no other means of earning an income. “The sugar mama is even helping him get married,” she said, raising her concerns. “This means the sugar mama is not going anywhere anytime soon. My advice to Anonymous is that she leave the marriage and go find the right person for her. This is a red flag she can’t ignore.”
