Has timing and patience delivered what you have been waiting for?
As the saying goes, we make the plans but God decides. We often set timelines for our goals but sometimes life has its own watch and it’s not always synchronized to ours.
Think about a time you desperately wanted that job but the opportunity presented itself when you least expected it.
“Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.”
Sarah Ban Breathnach
“Now that you have what you have always wanted, did you wait for it or did you go and get it?” Asks The Best T in the City.
Feel Good’s Andy believes in waiting.
“It does work. I remember I had a teacher in Grade R and she gave a lecture about instant gratification. She said this is why we need t have our vegetables and rice so that we can have that thing we really want last. So you go to go through the things that you don’t want in order to get through the things that you really want. That lesson has always stuck with me.”
A listener shares how she waited for 16 years.
“I really wanted a child for 16 years and I thought maybe it wasn’t meant to be. I’m the only child at home and when I was 39, a miracle happened. We were blessed with a girl who’s turning four. The waiting was bittersweet.”
Here’s what people are saying on social media:
#DoesWaitingWork I didn’t give up but I tried other things while I was waiting and it helped me in the long run, when an answer came in the form of my then acquisition editor for the platform I work for. I was a dentist assistant doing medical billing and ICD coding .

#DoesWaitingWork, yes it does, depending on your behavior during the waiting period and during the receiving time, and all of these takes a lot of patience.
