
Patriotic Alliance’s Kenny Kunene was the acting mayor of Joburg until Monday.
Kenny will step in for Kabelo Gwamanda, the mayor of the City of Johannesburg, who is in Cape Town on official business.
The current coalition, which is led by the ANC, is ruled by the PA and in the municipal council of Johannesburg, they act as the kingmaker.

On Sunday Kunene spent his day focusing on hijacked buildings in the city and joined the MMCs of public safety and human settlements when he visited a reportedly hijacked Casa Mia building in Berea.
