Have you ever found yourself having to be the adult to other grown-ups? This morning 959 Breakfast with Dineo and Sol discussed – the things we’re used to reprimanding kids over, but now have to do the same to adults.
Dineo has always been a mother figure in her circle of friends. “If you were to ask Bongani Fassie and DaLes I used to other them quite a lot. I realized that it wasn’t for me, it was too much,” she shares.
Sol is not much the ‘adult’ in his circle of friends, but he does call people out over basic things.
“There are basic things we used to be told as kids that you still tell to other adults, such as manners; thank you, and please. I do that a lot,” said Sol.
Lethabo from Mamelodi can’t stand adults who “leave their spoons on the kitchen counter after stirring their tea.”
One listener believes there is a thin line when it comes to adults adulting other adults. “People sometimes impose their OCD behavior on people. Some people start giving you orders before you are even done doing what you’re doing,” she shared.
