South African TV personality Lalla Hirayama has opened up about her decision to step away from the entertainment industry, moving to a small town, and prioritising her health.
Her new journey has led to improvements in her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and overall well-being.
In a heartfelt social media post, Hirayama revealed how trading city life for a quieter one allowed her to focus on self-care, her small business, and mental health.
“I’ve embraced slower, organic living—morning walks with my horses and dogs replaced gym sessions, and I’ve learned to prioritise ‘me time’ over others’ expectations,” she shared.
The move also meant leaving behind toxic relationships and environments, a decision she credits with “newfound self-acceptance and respect.”
After eight years on a hormone-balancing protocol and consistent use of Life Source PCOS Support supplements, her recent scans showed no ovarian cysts—a stark contrast to the clusters that once plagued her.
Though her weight shifted from 52kg to 60kg, she embraced it as part of her healing. “This is a healthy change for my body. Perfection doesn’t exist—we must all live a little!”
She also noted that removing her breast implants four months ago reduced fatigue and anxiety. While acknowledging her privilege in making such changes, Hirayama stressed the importance of small, sustainable steps.
