Three Nigerian men have been arrested after it was discovered that they were impersonating Arab women.
They were allegedly caught by UAE officials who were able to pick up that they were indeed not who they claimed to be.
A video shared on Tik Tok shows the unknown men in police custody, with images before and after their disguise, was unveiled.
It is alleged that the three men went to Dubai in hopes of making a better life for themselves after hearing how the thriving opulent nation of the United Arab Emirates was.
UAE laws are known to be very strict on criminal activity.
According to the Federal Decree-Law No. 34/2021. in the UAE, a jail term and/or penalty is imposed on individuals who impersonate or defame others.
Thelawreporters.com says imprisonment term of one month to three years and a fine of not less than R204,684.74 and not more than R 818,738 would be slapped on an individual who impersonates or defames others.
