Don Papa Richie has defended himself on countless occasions when letting the world know that he is a man on a mission, and he knows exactly what he is doing. He added that for him fashion is a business; he has clients from across the world who place orders to look like him.
“People have negative things to say about my dressing, but they don’t really know the brains behind what I am doing. This is pure business; they just don’t understand.”

He offered an explanation for his coined phrase “fashion madness” and “combination is a calculation”.
“I am fashionista, to me fashion is what you buy, and style is what you do with it. Fashion is madness. I decided to dress like this and wouldn’t advise people to dress like me, you don’t have the balls to do the same.”
