After 15 years in the music industry, renowned South African musician and producer Zakes Bantwini prepares to retire.
The award winning artist and businessman will be bowing out after the release of his latest and final album, “Abantu”
In a media release from his company, Independent Media Group Africa, Zakes has confirmed the release of his final studio album.
“Zakes Bantwini has confirmed his final studio album, titled ”Abantu“, set for release in November”.
This new album will follow his multi-platinum selling album ‘Ghetto King’ which featured hits like ‘Imali’, ‘Osama’ and ‘Girl in The Mirror.
Despite the artist retiring from music, he still seems to be making waves on both a local and international front.
Zakes has been nominated for seven SAMA awards and has gained massive success all over the world with his hit “Osama”.
The hitmaker will also be performing at the Kaya 959 25th Birthday Celebration, taking place on the 3rd of September 2022.
