In a pioneering moment for South African podcasting, MacG, and his team achieved history by filling up the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, becoming the first podcast in the country to accomplish such a feat.
Amidst the event’s excitement, MacG took a heartfelt pause to express his gratitude and admiration for his partner, Naledi. Through thick and thin, she has stood by his side, supporting him throughout the ups and downs of his journey. MacG reflected on the depth of the unwavering love Naledi had shown him.
In a moment that was supposed to be all about him, the podcaster got down on one knee and asked for Naledi’s hand in marriage.
“I was broke and didn’t have any money. I crashed into her apartment. It was as big as this corner [pointing to a portion of the set on stage] right here. But we chilled and she stuck through me. She is the only woman who loved me when I didn’t have a show and I was a nobody. Man, the stories I can tell you about this lady who is incredible. But because tonight, everybody that I love is here, I feel like going down,” professed MacG.
After taking a few moments to take it all in, Naledi gladly said yes to an enthused Sun Bet Arena. Watch the beautiful moment here:
