Moja Love is warning fans of Sizok’thula of a R2 million donation scam that’s doing the rounds on social media, claiming to be set up for presenter Xolani Khumalo.
The post suggests Xolani is currently facing murder charges after a drug dealer died whilst under interrogation by the Sizok’thula crew.
However, the channel said the drug bust was done in conjunction with community law enforcement groups which are recognized by SAPS.
According to Moja Love, the drug dealer, knowns as Robert “Kicks” Varrie, resisted to cooperate with lawful instructions, but then agreed to hand over the illegal drugs he had been hiding on his premises.
The channel says it’s still investigating the circumstances that led to the deceased’s death and are reportedly still awaiting official autopsy results.
While the channel continues to work with police for further investigations, they say social media posts about a donation drive in Xolani’s name is a scam.
The post was set up in the name of TC Simelane, and is calling for people to donate a minimum donation of R100 to a Capitec Bank account.
“The ANC government told him to compensate the victim’s family with a sum of R2 million before he can resume the show.”

A Gmail account is listed on the poster, and Moja Love is warning people against donating to the account, saying neither presenter Xolani nor the channel itself has set up the donation drive.
“This scam is saying that Sizok’thola is asking for R100 donations. This is not true, it’s a scam. That money is not going to us.”

Meanwhile, Moja Love says it will continue to monitor progress on charges levelled against another of it’s presenters, Jub Jub.
This after, Molemo Katleho Maarohanye, better known at Jub Jub, handed himself over to Brixton Police, on Thursday, 27 July.
The hip hop artist and TV personality, has been released on bail of R10 000, and faces charges for rape, assault and attempted murder.
In a statement, Moja Love says the channel will allow the law to take its course.
