TikTok has applied for patents for “TikTok music,” indicating that the video-sharing website is developing a music streaming app.
According to Insider, the parent company of TikTok, ByteDance, submitted a trademark application for “TikTok Music” to the US Patent and Trademark Office in May.
The document claims that this platform would enable users to share, stream, buy, and download music.
Additionally, they may create playlists, share songs, provide comments, and stream audio and music live.
Streaming apps have begun copying and imitating the popular video-watching app due to its success.
