Bathu founder Theo Baloyi continues to grow from strength to strength as a businessman.
Theo Baloyi’s sister company Avenue Exchange opened a second cosmetic store in Venda, Thavhanu Mall over the weekend.
The businessman currently has 38 Retail stores across the group, 3 unique brands, and employs over 400 people.
He says starting off selling perfumes door to door in the township, he didn’t know he’d end up with his own cosmetic boutique store.
“Never underestimate small beginnings, the door-to-door selling experience has contributed to the Leader I am today.”
Earlier this year, Theo Baloyi was named Young Business Leader of the Year by Forbes Africa and CNBC Africa.
He said the award “is a true testament of our vision to build a shoe brand that Africans can proudly affiliate with.”
“We are truly humbled by the opportunity to make a difference within the communities we serve. To bridge the gap of unemployment within the Youth segment and bring about sustainable change in South Africa.”
