A leaked court document that was shared to social media suggests that Somizi Mhlongo has withdrawn his case against his estranged partner Mohale Motaung.
The document states that Somizi has withdrawn the action against Mohale and is expected to cover his estranged husband’s costs as well.
“Kindly take notes that the plaintiff withdraws the actions instituted against the defendant and tenders the defendant’s taxed and/ or agreed party and party costs.”
Convicted sexual offender, Somizi Mhlongo withdraws his case and is instructed to pay all Mohale's legal fees.

The order has been granted by the Johannesburg High Court, on 06 March, and is unrelated to the pair’s impending divorce.
Somizi reportedly countered Mohale’s allegations of abuse, citing that he was the one who suffered abuse at the hands of Mohale.
Will the withdrawal of charges work in Mohale’s favour during their divorce proceedings?
A number of Twitter users believe this is a victory, however small for Mohale, as it does serve as an admission of guilt.
