Mohale details the alleged abuse he suffered at the hands of Somizi

  • Details of the alleged abuse Mohale suffered while in a relationship with Somizi.
  • Mohale on the Record docu-series dropped this morning
  • I never wanted to go public with our relationship. It was Somizi’s idea.

Mohale’s highly-anticipated tell-all docu-series Mohale on the Record dropped in the early hours of this morning and let’s just say a lot of files were dropped.

In Somizi’s reality show Living The Dream with Somizi, Bahumi describes Somizi’s relationship with Mohale as a fan-celebrity relationship.

Responding to the comment, Mohale says he was never a fan.

“I can’t really speak for them. I think because they spend a lot of time with Somizi and around people who are his fans and I was definitely not a fan.”

Vusi Nova revealed that he never liked Mohale but tolerated him because of Somizi.

Mohale says this caught him by surprise:

There was never any discussion with Vusi besides him trying or wanting to save the relationship. When the relationship was not okay, Vusi would be the one who’d intervene.

I wasn’t sure how he reached a conclusion that he didn’t like me. Somizi spent quite a few years without being with Vusi so I didn’t know how he said that change happened.

He goes into more detail about the alleged threesome Somizi brought up.

He introduced me as a friend to Orlando and little did I know that they’ve been wanting to pursue a relationship. Somizi and I had a conversation about him.

He told me that the plan was to pursue each other and they had been talking for some time.

The advance of the threesome was made in Orlando’s presence. We were dancing and having fun and Somizi comes to me and asks what I think about threesomes. I never had the desire to do anything of that sort.

Contrary to the belief that he used their relationship for fame, Mohale says he had no desire to go public and that it was in fact Somizi’s idea. “He wanted to announce our relationship to the world,” he adds.

On the allegations of abuse

Last year, in a leaked audio interview with Legend Manqele, Mohale alleged that he suffered physical abuse at the hands of Somizi.

“That part of my life was very dark,” he tells host Aldrin Sampear. “The particular assault was one that happened in our home and for me, it was seeing that person in a way that I had never before.”

Detailing the assault, Mohale says he was in Durban for work.

He was angry at the fact that I went to work in Durban and I remember coming back from Durban and finding him on the couch waiting for me and he said to me: where do you come from?

I asked him what he meant by that and he continued to say to me that I’m not telling the truth, he came upstairs and had a bottle of champagne in his hand. I was trying to get out of the clothes I was wearing and he started spilling champagne on me.

Mohale explains that he tried to find out what was wrong and Somizi told him he wanted to mess up his face.

I remember having to cover my face. The shoes that I was wearing were really going to mess up my face.

He started hitting me in the ribs and on my legs. I couldn’t walk and I crawled down the stairs. At that point, I believed that my ribs were broken.

I reached for my car keys and I ran out. And I remember him blocking the driveway and I said to him if anything. Just allow me to leave.

Motaung says he decided to call a friend of his who was a doctor.

I remember him saying my ribs were not broken but there was a stretching that happened there.

He adds that Thami Dish pleaded with him to speak to Somizi following the incident.

Thami called me to say that he is sorry and promises that it’ll never happen again.

According to Mohale, this happened around the time he started doing influencer work and that upset Somizi as he didn’t want to marry someone who works in the entertainment industry.
