Sikelelwa Ngubane, the wife of the late South African actor Menzi Ngubane recently honoured her husband on the fourth anniversary of his passing.
Menzi, a beloved figure in the entertainment industry, passed away on 13 March 2021 at the age of 56 after a battle with illness.
Reflecting on the day her husband died, Sikelelwa shared how her life changed dramatically.
“My life drastically changed, and nothing has made sense since then,” she said.
In her message, she expressed the pain of her loss, writing, “They say time heals, but I am still waiting. It’s been four years since you departed from this world, myeni wami 💔😢. My prayer is that there will come a time when I hurt less. Continue to rest in peace, Nomafu. Uyohlala usezintliziyweni zethu.” (Translation: “You will always remain in our hearts.”)
Last year, in August, on what would have been Menzi’s 60th birthday, his family honoured his memory with a heartfelt message shared on social media.
“Happy heavenly birthday, Somahhashi. Your love and guidance continue to light the way, even though you’re not on this earth anymore. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew you, legend. 💐”
Menzi Ngubane was a highly influential South African actor, best known for his iconic role as Sibusiso Dlomo on the popular television series Generations.
