What is a Skeem Saam season without a wedding? This past Friday, the beloved drama treated viewers to the wedding of Mr Kgomo and Melita Monama—a ceremony filled with unexpected drama.
The pair chose a low-key affair at Home Affairs, signing their marriage contract in a sombre setting. However, the mood was far from joyous, with some attendees appearing anything but thrilled about the union.
Adding to the tension, the groom, Mr Kgomotso, seemed hesitant as he signed the marriage papers, casting doubt over his commitment.
The drama reached its peak when the celebrations were abruptly interrupted—police stormed in to arrest Mr Kgomo, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
Warren Masemola praised for Skeem Saam role
Award-winning South African actor Warren Masemola has already made a big impact on Skeem Saam, despite only joining for a month.
Masemola plays the character of Gopane, a Turfloop native who returns to the village after his son’s mysterious disappearance. His arrival is set to stir up drama and intrigue as he delves into the mystery surrounding his son’s disappearance.
“It’s absolutely beautiful. I actually feel like I’m in Limpopo,” Masemola shared about his experience on the show. “Being a city boy who grew up in Tshwane, the set of Skeem Saam makes me feel like I’m back with my people.”
Fans of Skeem Saam have taken to social media to sing Masemola’s praises.
