Nollywood star, media personality, and film producer Sharon Okpamen has reportedly passed away.
According to The Daily Post Nigeria she had fallen into a coma. Sharon failed to awaken from her coma and died over the weekend. Okpamen, who also serves as a producer, is well-known in the Edo entertainment scene for her acting abilities and humanitarian work.
Sharon’s acting career began in 2010 with the film Touch Not My Crown, in which she was cast by John Okafor, commonly known as Mr. Ibu. She has appeared in over 100 films and established a reputation for herself in Nollywood.
Stanley Ontop, a coworker and movie producer, revealed the actress’s death in an Instagram post on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
“Nollywood Actor and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on. 💔😭💔😭💔 It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur & humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry. May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen @sharonokpamen.
